There came a time when
we had to CHOOSE.
The figures
We analyzed the data.
The answer was clear.
Every cardboard box and every plastic dosing cup that comes with a beauty product requires a whole chain of resources, energy, and logistics, only to become waste the moment it’s opened. It’s made every year, discarded every year. Over and over again.
For us, this was not a sustainable option. In fact, there was never anything to decide.
A cardboard box is not a neutral container
It continues its journey from the origin to the bin.
- A tree is cut down. It’s turned into paper pulp. Energy is consumed at every stage.
- It’s molded, printed, and varnished in a factory. Inks, chemicals, and heat.
- It’s transported to the manufacturer, then to the warehouse, then to the carrier, and finally to you.
- You take out the bottle. The box goes straight to the bin.
It’s not a bad decision by a specific company. It’s a flawed system that most beauty brands join without a second thought.
